Friends Summer School and TGM

Friends Summer School and Teenage General Meeting (FSSTGM) are events run by a group of mostly Quaker volunteers for teenagers, mainly from the North West.

Friends Summer School is a week long residential event in August each year for young people ages 11 to 17. Summer School is usually held in a boarding school or activity centre.

TGM is a weekend event for ages 13 to 18. TGM is held 3 times a year in March, June and October, at Quaker Meeting Houses around the North West.

Friends Summer School and TGM are run in a Quaker way, this means that the Quaker testimonies (or values) of Truth & Integrity, Equality & Community, Peace, Simplicity and The earth & Environment are what guide us in creating events of friendship, nurture and fun. Living in a Quaker community is core to both events.

We welcome applications from anyone who might enjoy our events, is sympathetic to our values (and is in the right age range 11-18). Participants do not need to come from a Quaker background or be involved in Quakers.
